Cascade Aircraft Conversions, LLC has received STC SR01845SE for a Barrier Filter System for the Soloy Turbine Converted Bell 47 and Hiller 12 Helicopters.
The Manometer test with the Particle Separator installed showed a loss of one inch in water column.
The Manometer test with the Cascade Filter System installed showed minimal restriction of air to the engine.
The FAA testing results of the Cascade filter system decreased the turbine outlet temperature, TOT, by up to 38 degrees C. The greatest decrease was near maximum continuous power. This will result in more available power on hot days.
The benefits of this Filter System are tremendous and will permit you to pull Full torque at lower TOT temps, burn less fuel, extend the life of critical turbine parts.
